Josh Collins Joins Streetsense Bringing Decades of Experience-Focused Marketing Insight to Travel + Tourism Practice

New Director of Destination Activations + Marketing leads clients into “experience economy”

Bethesda, Md., June 18, 2019 – Streetsense, an experience-focused strategy and design collective, today announced Josh Collins has joined the firm as a Director of Destination Activations + Marketing.

Josh brings to Streetsense more than 20 years of experience across both the entertainment and travel and tourism industries having co-founded the digital agency Kinekt, as well as working with musicians such as The Roots and John Legend. A sought-after speaker on destination marketing and member of the Advisory Board for the Silicon Valley-based eTourism Summit, Josh will focus on helping destinations create, curate, and market travel experiences to drive visitor demand and boost economic impact.

Prior to joining Streetsense, Josh served as the digital communications manager for Visit Franklin, a destination marketing organization in Franklin, Tennessee, located just outside of Nashville, where he helped the organization reach record audiences by leveraging new technologies and lead a digital campaign that resulted in the saving of Nashville’s Historic Studio A.

“Josh is a creative thinker and focused implementor who has helped destinations and brands large and small enhance their reach,” said Ralph Thompson, Streetsense’s executive director for travel + tourism. “He will play a pivotal role helping our clients with destination visioning, branding, experience mapping, planning, and developing go-to-market campaigns.”

Strengthening the firm’s destination marketing practice, especially around travel and tourism, will complement the ongoing growth of Streetsense, which has included the opening of new offices in the U.S. and Europe, expanding services, and a joint venture with CBRE Group, Inc. (NYSE:CBRE), the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm.
