Creating Social Spaces in an Innovative Home Base
Equity Residential engaged Streetsense to reenvision and redesign the common areas at 2501 Porter, with the goal of improving the apartment building’s form and function.
The Streetsense team strategically reenvisioned the common areas at 2501 Porter, infusing distinctive elements to create an immersive experience from the moment residents and visitors step inside the building. Lustrous, cool colors at once signal relaxation, serenity, and luxury, culminating in the foyer, where a monumental staircase, custom large-scale mural, and tall brass elevators shine. Upstairs, the re-worked amenity program doubled the size of the common space and created opportunities for smaller, cozy seating areas, including a newly designed library and workspace.
