Our 2022 Junior Marketing Associate Intern, Brynn Grover, has completed a successful internship with us. During Brynn’s time at Streetsense, she supported our marketing team in all facets including social media trend watching, creative concepting for asset development, SEO copywriting, competitive audits, integrated marketing campaigns, and beyond. Read on for Brynn’s recap of her internship experience.
This summer I was granted the opportunity to join Streetsense as a Marketing Intern. As someone who was not sure what I wanted to do post-graduation from Virginia Tech as a Marketing major, I found this internship encouraged me to dip my toes into the marketing world and discover my passions within it. I developed a love for researching social media and marketing trends as well as copywriting, which I would have never known if I had not been given this internship opportunity.
Through this internship, I met many intelligent and hardworking individuals, who helped me compile many deliverables, including competitive audits, digital ads reports, meta ads descriptions, and social media trends and research reports. My favorite task of the summer was writing a blog post about the up-and-coming app BeReal, in which I was able to develop my knowledge of the latest social media platform while simultaneously improving my writing skills.
One of the most important things I learned this summer was to utilize my resources. I spent a lot of time working on Hubspot certifications, where I became certified in SEO and Inbound Marketing. Along with that, I made sure to reach out to people when I needed help, which is something I have struggled greatly with in the past. Asking questions and making connections was a great solution when I needed help or inspiration. Throughout each of my endeavors as an intern, I was consistently supported by my teammates who were there to help me every step of the way. Thank you, Streetsense, for this valuable and unforgettable experience! I will carry the knowledge I have gained from my teammates and mentors for years to come.
And with that, we thank Brynn for all her hard work! Want to be the next to join our Uncommon Collective? Check our Careers page for open positions.
