The owners of hot spots in two of D.C.’s most popular neighborhoods are branching out: Mission Dos, from the owners of Hawthorne at 14th and U and Mission in Dupont Circle, will open across from Nationals Park in Southeast D.C. later this year.

Co-managing partners Fritz Brogan and Reed Landry will open the massive follow-on to their original Mission at 1221 Van St. SE, a new mixed-use building from JBG Smith Properties (NYSE: JBGS).

The 10,000-square-foot restaurant will be spread over two levels and include a wraparound terrace overlooking parts of N, Van and South Capitol streets SE, as well as a large ground-floor patio facing the stadium across N Street.

There will also be a two-story atrium greeting guests in the entryway, along with a 125-foot bar on the ground floor — one that may be the longest in Washington, if the project’s architects at Streetsense are to be believed. The owners declined to disclose buildout costs.
