Charting the Course for a Boutique Hotel in Seattle
The Widewaters Group — a real estate development and management company with 30+ years of experience — engaged Streetsense to help vision, brand, and design their Curio by Hilton hotel in Seattle.
Inspired by Alvar Aalto, Streetsense created a compelling brand story and identity for The Charter, a boutique hotel one block from Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Market. The juxtaposition of the Pacific Northwest’s Nordic past and its modern sense of exploration inspired the team to think about the experience like tide pools, adjacent but independent habitats with their own vibrant, dynamic aesthetics. With this in mind, Streetsense developed the food, brand, and design concepts for the hotel’s social spaces, including two distinctive food and beverage venues — upscale Argentine restaurant Patagōn and moody rooftop bar, The Fog Room.
