Originally tapped to raise awareness of the product’s capabilities and reach within the commercial real estate industry, our team has evolved our strategy to focus on fostering engagement and generating traffic to the company’s website.
We began by strategically segmenting our audiences and content across each of the brand’s handle sets. Working closely with boots-on-the-ground representatives at CoStar Group, we use the global corporate social channels to share content that highlights the company culture, press hits that validate the company’s authority in the industry, and cross-promotional content of the company’s vast portfolio of CRE brands. We use Instagram for connecting with prospective employees—featuring lively content that showcases what working at CoStar group is like. To focus on the CoStar product, we leverage separate product channels for US and Canadian audiences and share thought leadership, tradeshow and conference information, and rich media to drive prospective subscribers to the website to sign up for a demo. We also created brand new LinkedIn and Twitter channels for CoStar News, with a robust daily cadence for sharing commercial real estate news articles generated by their in-house journalism team.
