Streetsense, in partnership with Regional Plan Association (RPA) and SharedCitiesSharedSpace, released “Sustaining Commercial Districts,” a collection of toolkits and resources for New York City’s Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) and a new report GO LOCAL!: Nurturing Neighborhoods & Advancing Equity, which offers a series of findings and policy recommendations on empowering small BIDs and other public space partners.
“Small BIDs are increasingly being tasked to do more with less on behalf of the City’s small business community,” said Larisa Ortiz, Managing Director, Streetsense, leader of the Public Non-Profit work of our Place Consulting team.
That is why Streetsense contributed to this effort to empower local BIDS through toolkits sharing best practices on equity, consumer marketing, vacant storefronts, branding, and events. Visit RPA’s website for the full release, and dive into the report and all of its toolkits.
Streetsense’s Place Consulting Team leverages our strategic and creative advisory services to solve complex real estate issues that enhance the value of places—whether they are new mixed-use developments, assets facing challenges, vibrant districts, or captivating destinations.
