Streetsense’s work—which spans our Public Non-Profit Solutions and Urban Design teams—is featured in FFX Now, Fairfax County local news.
The County has tapped Streetsense to create a visionary plan for revitalizing the Lake Anne area.
“A final report will identify a strategic position for the area within the competitive landscape, and guide future developments, including branding, marketing, design, and merchandizing, that create a market-relevant consumer experience,” said Tracy Strunk, director of the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Development.
The 44-acre area, established in 1998, is in need of a revitalized market approach that attracts both locals and tourists, as well as respects the many stakeholders of the area, Reston, and the county at large.
Our Public Non-Profit team expertly develops place-based strategies on behalf of local, state, and federal government entities and nonprofit place-management organizations—offering communities innovative, research-driven answers to place-based challenges; while our Urban Design experts are a team of architects and urban planners specializing in crafting the spaces between buildings, with physical strategies to define a compelling context and stimulate on-site experiences.
