Bringing Hong Kong’s Market Magic to Blagden Alley
Recognizing the unique opportunity to bring a distinctively Hong Kong experience to DC’s Blagden Alley, Nathan Beauchamp and Greg Algie partnered with Streetsense to bring their vision to life.
Housed in a 90-year-old former mechanic’s garage, Tiger Fork boldly reveals itself to the street with a brightly colored facade and a signature octagonal Chinese window screen. Inside, the space’s mix of regional motifs and imported elements channels Hong Kong’s diverse cultural landscape. The bar is constantly abuzz under the glow of quintessential red and green lanterns. Locally crafted pom-pom and wood bead screens serve as subtle partitions between the bar and the dining room, where guests sit at vintage banquet tables surrounded by hand-painted lion and dragon murals done by a Baltimore tattoo artist.
