By The Streetsense Collective

Streetsense is pleased to announce that Carolina Simon has joined the firm to head our place consulting practice, Streetsense’s real estate advisory group. This group works with real estate investors, developers, municipalities, and operators to solve complex real estate challenges and enhance the value of properties and places. For the past two decades, Ms. Simon has been a recognized leader in the real estate industry with deep experience driving strategic and operational value for clients across the United States, LATAM, Europe, and Asia.

“Carolina’s impressive track record in real estate development, investment, planning, and design is the perfect addition to our real estate advisory practice as we continue to expand our services across all asset types,” says Streetsense CEO, Brian Taff. “This is especially true for complex mixed-use environments — whether new or being repositioned — where we help drive demand and create long-term value.”

Based in New York City, Ms. Simon is responsible for growth and integration of Streetsense’s advisory and consulting services as well as expanding the firm’s geographies and service offerings. Ms. Simon’s role will build on her career experience across public and private sector projects, which includes real estate development and architecture projects and real estate investment platforms that have generated multi cycle economic resilience. In addition to her new leadership role at Streetsense, Ms. Simon also serves on the Board of Accompany Capital, which provides capital to migrant and refugee entrepreneurs in New York City. Ms. Simon holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University (with a focus on private equity and real estate), a Master’s in city planning from M.I.T., and a Master’s in architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design.

“I am thrilled to be leading this remarkable cross-functional team of market analysts, economic development strategists, planners, urban designers, and real estate consultants who love what they do and are truly committed stewards of the places, communities, and properties our clients trust us with,” said Ms. Simon.
