Master planner and architect for Reston's showpiece retail and office destination

Seeking to redevelop three existing office buildings into Reston’s newest pedestrian-accessible retail and office destination, JBG engaged Streetsense as master planner and architect.

Approach/

By adding office amenities, upgrading architectural details, simplifying wayfinding, and establishing a strategic retail vision, Streetsense has created a plan for an activated, walkable environment. Additionally, in anticipation of the adjacent Metro station’s upcoming opening, the proposed redesign ensures the site will thoughtfully cater to both local and commuter populations.

Results/

Once complete, the new Reston Executive Center will be a 13-acre mixed use campus featuring 410,000 SF of Class A office and 45,000 SF of retail.
